Some Pinellas County municipalities offer scheduled bulk trash pickup where mattresses are accepted, but you're usually locked into a specific week or need to call ahead to schedule it. If your mattress is the only thing you need gone, this can work — as long as you're not in a hurry and you're set up to haul it to the curb yourself.

2. Mattress recycling programs

Mattresses are actually one of the more recyclable large items — the springs, foam, and fabric can mostly be separated and reused. Some Florida recycling facilities accept mattresses directly if you can transport it yourself.

3. Junk removal pickup
